RRC also known as Red Ribbon Club which consist of 34 members and it was formed in the month of November 2022, before it was known as blood donation. RRC comes under NACO i.e, Nagaland State Control Society.








MOTTO: True leaders are selfless.

VISION: RRC focuses to inculcate among all the students, the values of service to develop healthy life styles.

MISSION: RRC provides an opportunity for young leaders to become responsible citizens and to serve the needs of the community.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To reduce new HIV infections among youth by raising their risk through awareness programmes.
  • Promote regular voluntary blood donation by young people and increase to safe and adequate equalities of blood.
  • Educate young with correct, concise and adequate information.

Red Ribbon is the international symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness, it is a global symbol created in 1991 in New York. Solidarity with people living in AIDS/HIV aims at uniting people in the common fight.








WHAT DOES RED SIGNIFIES IN RED RIBBON?

  • Red like love: as a symbol of compassion and tolerance, for those who face the disease after being detected as positive.
  • Red like blood: representing the pain that people face who have died of AIDS.
  • Red like anger: for the disease which there is still no cure.
  • Red as a sign of warning: to stay aware regarding HIV/AIDS and not to carelessly ignore it.

RRC promotes access to information on healthy life and voluntary blood donation. RRC carry out various kind of activities like blood donation campaign under the theme ‘EVERY BLOOD DONER IS A HERO’  and basic life support training under the theme ’BE AWARE BE PROACTIVE SAVE LIFE’  in collaboration with different hospitals.

RRC educates people with correct concise and give aware on HIV/AIDS. Helps people to save their life by donating blood to those needy people as blood cannot be manufactured it can only come as gift from people.
