Alumni Association

The Alumni has an important role in shaping and preserving a lasting relationship between the former and existing students on the one hand, and the institute and the society on the other. The Institute promotes Alumni Association to work as bridge between Institution and professional life, creating a synergy for mutual enhancements.

Establishment:

• The Alumni Association was officially formed in the year 2016.
• An executive committee is formed to head the Alumni Association and representatives are selected from each batch.

Some of the key features of the Alumni Association are:

• The Alumni discuss and deliberate on various issues pertaining to the well-being of the institute and the social work profession in general.
• An Alumni meeting is convened annually.
• Alumni networks and connects student for job placement / internship / fieldwork.

Alumni Involvement and Contribution: 

• Administrative Support: Our alumni are members of the IQAC, Boards of Studies, and PTA. They contribute in the decision-making processes for quality improvement.
• Admission & Publicity: NEISSR Alumni acts as institute ambassadors and assists in admission and publicity of the college. They volunteer to represent the institute in various colleges and universities and introduced career option on Master and Bachelor degree of Social Work to the college students in the whole district of the state.
• Voluntary Services in college programs:
• Resource person: alumni are invited as resource person during orientation programs and share their personal experiences with the students.
• Networking: They connect the current students to experts to conduct sessions, discuss business and entrepreneurship opportunities.
• Mentors in Rural Camp and Study Tour: The Alumni extends their services as mentors during the rural camp and study tour.
• Seminars & Programs: The Alumni association also conducts programs and seminars in collaboration with NGOs and corporate sectors with a purpose to connect, enhance and foster relationships, facilitate, consolidate and coordinate Alumni Activities.

 Alumni contribution towards sponsorship of Scholarship and Awards: 

• Best Field Worker’s award: The Alumni Association resolved to sponsor ‘Best Field Worker’s award every year beginning with the batch of 2021.
• Sponsor 2 Students: The Alumni Association decided to sponsor 2 students from poor and under privileged family. It is in the process of implementation

Alumni’s Contribution towards Infrastructure development:

• The Alumni extended support for landscaping of the campus.
• Donated clock, Guitar etc.

NEISSR’s Services to the Alumni: NEISSR offers the alumni various facilities as given below:

• Encourages batch get-togethers on the campus
• Provides Consultancy and advisory support
• Receives preferential treatment in getting job
• Facilitates networking events and alumni reunions to foster connections
• Provides opportunities for professional collaboration.
• Supports Career Development
• Access to library resources, research databases, and online learning platforms to support their ongoing educational and professional development requirements
• Establishes mentorship programs where alumni can serve as mentors to current students
• Recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions of alumni through awards and honours.
