NEISSR Participates in Social Work Fest, 2023

The first Social Work Fest was held at St. Joseph University (SJU), Chümoukedima by the Department of Social Work under the theme ‘Respecting Diversity Through Joint Social Actions’ Dated March 21st and 22nd.
North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) along with other Social Work institute participated in the various activities and competitions such as debate (LGBTQ), video presentation (social problems), street play (respecting diversity), model presentation (rural farming), cultural show, solo singing and solo dance.

Rev. Fr. Khing, Vice Principal and Admin (NEISSR) was the resource person on the second day (March 22) where he highlighted on how the importance of knowledge and skills can be enhanced to address social problems with actions. He also emphasized on how professional social workers should try to resolve the social problems and issues without wasting much resources.

NEISSR secured the first position in the street play (respecting diversity). The participants were
Phongngam Phom BSW 2nd Semester, Tsukhari Florance BSW 2nd Semester, Nginlem Rebecca MSW 4th Semester, Gracy Rolnu MSW 4th Semester, Zhovino Kechü MSW 4th Semester,
NEISSR also secured second position in the model presentation (rural farming). The participants were NG Souhvane Lishe BSW 2nd Semester, H Nyemnyei Phom MSW 4th Semester, Lungkemriakle MSW 4th Semester, C Kongden MSW 4th Semester, and Khenishe K Sumi MSW 4th Semester.
