Community Development as a specialization focuses on urban and rural communities and qualifies the students to take up responsible positions as Community Development Officers. The objectives of the specialization are:
1. To help students understand urban, rural and tribal social systems and their problems.
2. To help students understand the change processes in urban, rural and tribal communities.
3. To help students understand the issues and their implications on urban rural and tribal communities.
4. To help students understand the challenges for interventions by community workers.
